Why do drivers like Sherlock Taxi’s driver app?
The app has an easy to use interface, is available on iOS and Android and robust (not prone to crashing or slowing down).
Sherlock’s driver app is available on both iOS and Android. It is user-friendly, benefits from real-time Google traffic route optimisation and enables drivers to maximise their earnings.
The app incorporates prebooked jobs and available prebooks to select, giving drivers more opportunities to reduce any downtime and increase their earnings.
The trip workflow is easy to follow, includes job status updates (at pick-up, passenger on board etc.) and the job history screen shows the real route taken on previous jobs.
Drivers can download statements from the app and pay any outstanding charges/debts to the business.
Our app is built with a focus on reliability, resilience, and robustness, so you can trust it to perform flawlessly every day.Accurate and transparent wage management is an integral part of effective driver management. Our Driver Wages tool allows you to ensure drivers are paid accurately and on time and caters to a wide range of business models.
Options include different calculations configured at account or driver level, one-off charges, debt restructuring and charge groups (e.g. group drivers to offer higher commission to incentivise night shifts).
The admin burden of wages can be reduced by automating driver payment calculations to dramatically speed up the process and simply highlight exceptions to review before final payment.
Efficient job distribution is at the heart of successful driver management. Sherlock’s auto-allocator uses advanced algorithms to assign jobs to drivers, considering factors such as driver availability and location, ensuring the most optimal and fair allocation of trips. This enhances operational efficiency and improves driver satisfaction. With the auto-allocator, your business can run more smoothly, minimising delays and maximising productivity.
The auto-allocator uses ‘Driver Grades’ to ensure that trips are only dispatched to drivers who are eligible to complete the job. For example, longer serving drivers can be graded as the only drivers to handle trips for a particularly important account client using Driver Grades, and the auto-allocator will automatically take those dispatch preferences into account.
Using variables that your business prioritises (closest driver, driver empty time, customer priority, or any combination of these), the auto-allocator will search for the best driver for any given job, whilst maintaining the efficiency of the whole fleet.
In the small number of scenarios where there isn't a driver to automatically allocate a trip to - for example, if all available drivers are outside of the configured trip radius - the allocator can send the job to 'Bids or Offers'.
With Bids & Offers, drivers are given the opportunity to do the trip. Drivers can bid to do a trip or offer to do a trip. This is a great way for drivers to maximise the number of jobs they are doing, even during quieter periods, which gives them greater autonomy over their work and the chance to increase their earnings.
Sherlock Taxi was built by the team of developers who created Addison Lee’s award-winning taxi dispatch and management solution, Shamrock. This system enabled Addison Lee’s phenomenal success in the early 2000s.
Sherlock is a configurable and customisable taxi dispatch system developed for the wider market. Our solution is flexible, scalable and continuously being updated as the needs of the market evolve and change over time.
Our senior leadership team has held a variety of positions in leading private hire companies in the UK and therefore has a range of real-world ops experience - this experience, combined with our technical expertise means we develop taxi dispatch that actually works how you want it to.
The app has an easy to use interface, is available on iOS and Android and robust (not prone to crashing or slowing down).
Driver wages simplifies wage calculations by reducing the need for laborious manual admin, automating most of the process so somebody in your team can simply check the final calculations before they are made. This reduces manual error, expedites the process and ensures drivers are paid promptly. This helps to keep your drivers happy and increases trust between them and your business.
Sherlock’s auto-allocation uses advanced algorithms and elements of AI to optimise job dispatch based on the priorities of your business, for example, prioritising distance to pick-up, customer grade, driver empty time or a combination of all these factors. This means your business can ensure you are maximising the number of jobs that can be completed and therefore, also maximising driver productivity.
